Privacy information
Updated September 6, 2026. Orbital Red is currently a private beta.
Information used by the service
We store account identifiers, workspace membership references, saved investigations and notes, watchlist filters, alert read states, subscription status, and monthly AI usage. If you enable phone alerts, we store a notification delivery token associated with your selected workspace. We do not request precise device location.
Service providers
Clerk handles account authentication. Vercel hosts the service and Neon stores application data. Stripe processes website subscriptions. Apple or Google and RevenueCat handle mobile subscriptions. Expo and the platform notification services deliver opted-in notifications. These services process data needed to provide their functions. Payment card details are not stored in Orbital Red’s database.
Private source connectors
Custom source configurations, imported records and encrypted API credentials are stored server-side. Records are private to your personal or team workspace. Team members with access to that workspace can read imported records; administrators manage connections. Disabling a connector stops polling but retains its records. To request removal of imported data, contact the operator. Custom records cannot be included in public investigation snapshots.
AI and public sources
When a configured AI provider is used, your question and selected public event evidence are sent to that provider. Custom-source evidence is sent only when the workspace administrator has opted that source in to AI sharing. Investigation notes are not automatically attached to analyst questions. Public reports retain links to their original publishers. Opening a source or loading a basemap connects to the respective provider, which may receive your IP address and request information.
Controls and deletion
Delete watchlists and investigations in your workspace. Disable phone notifications in the app or operating system settings. Delete your account from Account after leaving team workspaces. Account deletion removes personal application records and the authentication account; shared team records remain with the team. Website subscriptions are canceled during account deletion. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately in Apple or Google settings. Provider records and backups may follow their own retention requirements.
Contact
This beta is invitation-only. Contact the operator who provided your invitation for privacy requests. A public support address will be published before public launch.
